'The Other Woman'

How realistic was this, now or then, in England?

For Olive to sit and take ARthur flirting with another woman like that. I asked my English mum was this accurate, and she said 'no'. She said it was probably just showing the characters as being silly, but still for Stan to not go to his daft sister's defense or for their mum to not be offended.

Granted the characters do break down later on with Arthur leaving, but the opening scene in the pub looked odd. Olive just sat there and watched him flirt.

Why didnt she go over and stop him, say something to the other girl, Wendy, or something.

Olive just sat there with a cross look on her face and just watched Arthur flirt with whatever the woman's name was... she should have gone up and stopped him! And when Arthur went out of the house to see her she tried to stop him but he just went out and she cried like mad.. and when Arthur went on the bus to try and be with the woman Olive just banged on the window of the bus and screamed... she should have stopped him at the beginning rather than later!

SPIDER PIG!! Loving the simpsons movie!
