Does anyone know in what town 'On the Buses' is supposed to be set?
It always struck me as an unpleasant sort of place - cold & bleak & grotty.
Yet, for some inexplicable reason, there was never a shortage of gorgeous, young women wanting to have sex with middle-aged bus drivers.
It was set in a fictional town called Luxton but in all honesty it was filmed in North London (Series 1 to 6) and South London (Series 7) when LWT had moved studios.
I wouldn't go as far as the sex bit as Stan never got any - more like a snog (kiss and cuddle) and don't forget this was at a time when sexual promiscuity was suddenly all the rage o it was just an honest portrayal of the times.
