I'm missing the following sketches with the artist:
No.1 He talks delivering a few jokes among which are: "One foot of snow", "My neighbour plays on the piano/royal" [boozing is suggested].
No.2 At the beginning of the feature he comes to disco (?) dressed like a Muslim and starts to unwind his turban. The show goes on and on and on. At the very end (where he usually has that funny running away from pretty ladies) he is still shown trying to get that thing off his head!
No.3 He makes a "kung-fu" movie fighting with a bear in a most human style.
No.4 "Cheapo productions presents..." - in this one he pokes fun at film industry, showing for instance a small toy boat in a pool representing something like Titanic...
No.5 Representing a French director he answers many questions of his admirer, explaining that, for example, switching to B&W was because he was short of funds (not artistically driven).
I purchased all the shows on DVD (the so-called "The Best Of ..."), which I could get here, but these ones are missing. Were they done in some special period of time? When exactly? That's pretty depressing while I remember the mentioned sketches from my childhood TV memories and they were terrific.
The Best of Benny Hill would've had the one with Benny as the French film director whose reason for switching from color to B&W in the middle of one of his pictures was solely budgetary (original airdate Feb. 23, 1972); that movie consisted entirely of sketches from shows produced and directed by John Robins from 1969 to 1972 - leaving shows in that period from other producer/directors (David Bell, Keith Beckett, Peter Frazer-Jones) out of the loop.
Now as for the others, I can't nail the first, but the rest:
No.2 At the beginning of the feature he comes to disco (?) dressed like a Muslim and starts to unwind his turban. The show goes on and on and on. At the very end (where he usually has that funny running away from pretty ladies) he is still shown trying to get that thing off his head!
As was noted by the other poster, it was a Sikh Indian, played by Bob Todd; that was from the "Chez Ben Grand Gala" segment of the Feb. 6, 1980 show.
No.3 He makes a "kung-fu" movie fighting with a bear in a most human style.
Oh, I remember that well. From his March 12, 1975 show. The "bear" was played by stuntman Bill Weston. Much prefer that to the Monty Python "Scott of the Sahara" bit.
No.4 "Cheapo productions presents..." - in this one he pokes fun at film industry, showing for instance a small toy boat in a pool representing something like Titanic...
Oh yes . . . "The Police Raid in Waterloo Station," from his April 25, 1979 special. He was skewering the Grade-Z Ed Wood style of filmmaking with that. And even here, it was a return to an old theme; back at the BBC, he did another "zero-budget" spoof called "Secret Agent of Love" with the same type of Ed Wood mentality.
There are two possibilities to get all these: the R.1 A&E Video Complete & Unadulterated sets, or R.2 Network DVD Benny Hill Annuals.

Haven't been on IMDb for ages and have to say that now have ALL (99% sure) Benny Hill Show releases in my collection. Many of them are in B&W and still a bunch of them are not even translated into my native language. The problem is where to find so much time to look through all this stuff, but it’s really worth it. No wonder Sir Charles Chaplin did like to sit and watch this kind of comedy.
I want to add to this thread so that I don't have to start a new one.
In Superteech I remember the duo Benny Hill and Jackie Wright (the little old man) jumping out of a window when they become super heroes. On TV in the US I remember Jackie Wright landed with his crotch on statue and he yelled out. This made me laugh so hard, however upon seeing a video online of this episode I think I have my memory of this episode wrong.
I have two questions: 1 Which DVD or VHS home video has the episode Superteech? 2 Am I mistaken with the sketch? Which is the one where the old man lands on his crotch on the statue?
