Who is the hottest Hill's Angel?
You're telling me in 3 and a half pages with threads going back 6 years there's no "Who was your favorite Hill's Angel" thread? That's so weird I wonder if it got deleted by admin or something, but other shows have similar threads....
OK, I'm viewing it as my duty to start one then. I really don't mean to limit it to official "Hill's Angels" ladies; I mean any female appearing on The Benny Hill Show. I'm not going to list tons of them though, cause that dilutes the value of picking just one or two favorites. On the other hand if all I do is say "Sam" of the classic British looks and classic British name (Samantha Spencer-Lane), then no one will respond since she's the OBVIOUS choice for all time hottest. (That'll get 'em posting...)
Yeah, OK Louise English is quite nice too.
Lorraine Doyle is quite hot in her early appearances (Feb. 23, 1977 particularly) but goes a bit zaftig and frizzie haired for my taste later on.
But for the Love Machine era I prefer Libby Roberts with her short frequently feathered blonde hair. I thought she was particularly attractive when she portrayed the dancer in the Tex Cymbal "Lonely Boy" number.
I feel compelled to include Corinne Russell if for no other reason than to thank her for giving us some of the most revealing shots of a Hill's Angel we ever saw (March 16, 1983, Holiday sketch).
There are a couple of others I am tempted to include, but since I said I would limit myself, I'll just wait for someone else to name them, then jump on their bandwagons, so to speak.
There are also some no doubt glaring omissions that I will be derided for. Just keep in mind I have no doubt you could show me Sue Upton or Cheryl Gilham on a good day that I would much prefer over one of my picks on a bad day. Since the series ran so long and so many actresses came and went through the years with different hairstyles, costumes, ages, (ahem) weights... I just tried to set out a few initial markers.
Let's hope I'm not the only one crass enough to be grateful for Benny Hill's contribution to the world's appreciation of the beauty of British women.
