... A year later, in Planet of the Apes, Heston's character Taylor is given the nickname "Bright Eyes". By coincidence, "Bright Eyes" happens to be the name of "Claude's" horse that Heston returns to the Flat Iron ranch in Will Penny, filmed the year before POTA. No big deal, but kinda funny.
