blue ray?

this movie is rarely even shown on tv, then today I saw it on encore but it was crappy standard definition that didn't even fill the wide screen tv.seems like years ago I saw it broadcast in letterbox, remember letterbox? it looked great, nice widescreen. I don't even want to see it on regular DVD. this movie is a true classic western with gorgeous cinematography and would look spectacular on blue ray. why no blue ray?

it's always received short shrift and it continues to be snubbed with no blue ray.

people who criticize sir charles probably it's because he was a conservative, and can't have that in hollywood, not because of his acting ability.

There are so many semi-forgotten classic films which have not been allowed the transition over to high definition. I wouldn't hold my breath for Will Penny receiving a full Bluray treatment because I doubt such a day is anywhere on the horizon. I have the DVD and it's okay.

This is true, so many films not on blue ray, but this is considered a real classic amongst critics. Just turned on AMC, one of my favorite movies from childhood, "The ghost and Mr. chicken" beautiful fantastic widescreen version. yes, the ghost and mr. chicken is looking good, but no blu ray will penny.
