Where were Boyce and Hart?

I see that Boyce and Hart played themselves in this. But where were they? I just watched this on TCM and didn't see them. Also where were the state pageant winners listed in the credits? Was something edited out from the original? I have only seen this on TV. Not in the theater. I also noticed young actress Darleen Carr is not credited, here or in the movie credits. She had short light brown hair and had quite a few speaking scenes. I wondered why she didn't get any credit at the end of the movie.

They're never credited in the picture as playing themselves, only as the songwriters of the title song. However, if they are in the film they would be the guys in the band who are on the stage performing "Where Angels Go" at the boys' academy.

I've met TOMMY BOYCE and BOBBY HART , and , even-though I saw This Film , Several-Times , during It's Original-Release , and Many-Times since , I've never been-able to spot-Them , in "the Band".

I also-noticed that Actress that looked-like DARLENE CARR (now , WHO , besides-ME , even remembers-Her , on "THE SMITH FAMILY" , with HENRY FONDA + RONNY/RON HOWARD + MICHAEL-JAMES WIXTED ???) , but , in the End-Credits , a Different-Name was-listed (an Alternate "Stage-Name" ??? )

They are definitely the band playing at the boys academy. I am presuming the lead singer is either Boyce or Hart. Too bad I was only six because some of those boys were cute.

They aren't physically in the movie, just their voices. I'm guessing that they were too old looking to play high school students. Weren't they in their late 20s when this movie opened? Too old to play high school students, even by Hollywood's standards. BTW, I'm watching the movie as I type this and they're up to the scene with the song.
