Be a fink for $25000

Irwin's wife stumbles across the advertisment in the newspaper. The ad is looking for men who were in Boston on June 9th and were driving a 1967 Ford wagon.

Correct me if I'm wrong; didn't Irwin live on Long Island. It seems kind of implausable that would run the ad in a newspaper 200 miles away.

OK, how did they know about the 1967 Ford station wagon?

reply

Because someone likely remembered there being a 67 Ford station wagon outside the bank at the time of the robbery. That would have been literally the one tangible clue to go on.
