I saw the film about 10-15 years ago, back when I used to go to college, and 'Birdie Num Num' was just one of those movie-quotes that have become part of me.

My brother and I saw this film about ten years ago and to this day we use 'Birdie Num nums' as code for 'bad shoes' when we want to talk about people without them knowing. Actually 'num nums' are when we want to point out men's ugly shoes, and 'birdie num nums' are women's.
Oddly enough while I write this the shopping channel is on and there is a foot displaying some seriously saucy brown high heeled clogs.

I believe "Num Num" is referring to "food"
