Which version of Oliver is better the 1948 version or the 1968 version?

I never seen the 1948 version of the Oliver I have only seen the 1968 version that version is more popular so it must be better than the 1948 version what is the 1948 version of Oliver compared to the 1968 version of Oliver.

The 1948 version is straight drama while the 1968 version is a musical. Which is better? Whatever type of movie you prefer.

The 1948 version is better because the Oliver! musical adaptation is like a pale, watered down imitation of Lean's version, but with tons of boring, overlong musical numbers thrown in.
