Did anyone else think that this was a rather odd way to extract a confession? Surely the 'runners' would be more tired/exhausted than the 'runnee' who would be supported by the runners as he was run round and round the room? I would have lifted my feet off the ground or just let them drag me while pretending to be exhausted.
Just a thought.

Yes,they did run the priest round the room to extract a confession from him but if you remember he was stabbed in the back several times with a spike just before then.I don't know about you but I think I'd feel pretty bad being forced to run around a room by a bunch of strangers accusing me of witchcraft after that extremely painful experience.Especially if I was an old man, like the priest.

Yeah exactly. Try running after physical trauma (especially extended torture) and you will know exactly why they did this.
Most of us have had our accidents or misadventures with wounds or broken bones. Think about that experience and then being made to run any distance at all.
