But in your mind who gave the better performance - thus should be the only winner and NOT tie:

shareAlthough "ALIW" is the better movie, IMHO Streisand gave the better performance by a small margin. She really is fantastic in the role, it was her first screen performance and may still be her best, she was funny, charming, touching, bursting with star quality, and she sang and did musical numbers as well!
Although if I'd been an AMPAS member in the late 1960s, there's a chance I would have voted for Hepburn anyway, as she was getting into her "Time for Lifetime Achievement Award" years.
Hepburn, absolutely.
