Given the song, "I Am the Greatest Star," I am wondering if that was true to Fanny, or just for entertainment; probably the latter, but if anyone knows concretely, I would love to know.

Please do not considerate this film as a reference point for Fanny's Brice's life. There are very few facts in the film regarding the real Fanny Brice. It's a great movie musical, but a bad biography. If you really want to know about Fanny Brice, I would suggest finding a book about her or googling her name, not the name of this movie.
