Is it worth buying?
I want to see a funny but not vulgar, sex-obsessed or disgusting film so I think this could be a great example. Furthermore, I expect a wonderful performace from Barbra Streisand and I wouldn't like to be disappointed.

shareI took a chance and bought it having never seen it. I wasn't disappointed in the least. See if you can't get the double set with Funny Lady. They are sold together on Amazon

Um...a lot of people consider renting something they've never seen before they spend money BUYING it.
But, it's not vulgar, unless you're a hardcore nun, and it's not sex-obsessed, unless you're a total prude. It's been my favorite movie since i was 15 years old.
It's an absolute classic, and is even better upon repeated viewings! So yes, if you need to blind-buy things because you can't rent them first, then this is a great choice.
Please for God's sake fix the spelling in your subject line.
I bought the double set ("Funny Girl"/"Funny Lady") in HMV for £8, well worth the money. Two great classic films.

It's wonderful & unforgettable. Buy it.
