QUESTION

Hello, I have a question for anybody who has seen the film. In the film, supposedly Nick gives Fanny some yellow roses and a card for her opening night performance. Now, I haven't seen the film, but I was wondering if anybody new:

1. How many yellow roses were given
2. What was written on the card

If anybody can answer these, I was REALLY REALLY appreciate it. Thanks so much in advance.

"Oh I'm sorry, did I break your concentration?"

reply

I'm not sure how many roses, but the card said - "Dear Star, I told you so"

"Samantha! You picked a lemon in the garden of love!"

reply

The card read simply "I love you". And I suppose there were two dozen roses originally; most of them were lost and the rest were wilted when Fanny met up with Nick on the ship.

You're talking about the "Don't Rain On My Parade" roses. The OP is asking about the roses Nick Arnstein sends on opening night (about 30 minutes earlier) - the "His Love Makes Me Beautiful" roses, so to speak.

Mikwalen is right about the message on the card, but I don't know how many roses Arnstein sent, either. At least a dozen - maybe two.
