This is an example of a perfect film. William Wyler was a genius. The casting was perfect as was the musical numbers and the photography. It's true the second part wasn't as enjoyable because that's where the tension arises between Arnstein's gambling problems and his desire to stay in the marriage. Most of the great songs were in the first half. All in all, this film stands the test of time. One of the greatest musicals and it hasn't aged a bit.

I love watching old movies, especially musicals, so I immediately jumped at the ocassion to see this one!
It was great!Sweet, simple, yet enchanting and very entertaining!Barbra is amazing and I discovered Omar Sharrif, which I can't wait to see in other movies!
I wouldn't call it the perfect film, but it was one of the best!

Very enjoyable and one I will enjoy showing to my movie group within the next two weeks. The only thing I knew about Fanny Brice was her portrayal of "Baby Snooks" on old time radio.
