I've just realised that FUNNY GIRL,which was the biggest hit of 1968, was the last domestic no 1 grossing film where the sole star was a woman.

I'm sure Babs is proud of that fact.

I read that it was because of support for Israel and that she and omar were having an affair...but I don't know if that is true..I haven't read that anywhere else.

Omar Sharif might disagree on Streisand being the sole star of the movie.
