So, when did you start crying?
Spoilers!!
I broke down when Fanny told Nick that he was right and they should get a divorce.. So sad. And I felt so bad for Nick.

God, what a bimbo. She cries over movie characters. She probably cries over Hallmark cards too.

"WHY DIDN'T YOU STARVE FIRST?!" - Humphrey Bogart, 'Dead End' (1937)
[ignoring the troll comment completely]
Okay, so I didn't cry at any of the movie (I know, I know, call me emotionless. Not even The Notebook got me), but the parts I found really, REALLY sad were:
1. When they decide to get the divorce
2. When Fanny is talking to...ehh, I can't remember his name...about Francis and she's like, "She is pretty, isn't she?" and he goes on about how cute the baby is, and Fanny cuts him off with, "But she's pretty?". "Yes, Fan, she's pretty. Very pretty." It's just heartbreaking to me because Fanny needs reassurance that her child is beautiful, something Fanny doesn't believe herself to be (which breaks my heart the most ).
3. My Man.....amazing though!
T~O
Does Mary Poppins have an orgasm? Does she go to the bathroom? I assure you, she does.
Those scenes broke me down too.
Such a sad, amazing film.

When Barbara Striesand is standing on the platform of the tugboat and sings "Don't Rain On My Parade."
Fanny is so over the top in love with Nick, she will not let anything stand in her way to get him.
Thank you for your post. I love this film and there are so many on this board who don't. I cried at that scene and several other scenes -- when Mom tells Fanny Nick is drowning, when Fanny want assurances that the baby is pretty. And I cried at the end when she sings My Man. A wonderful film with stellar performances. Streisand is a goddess.
