'The Music that Makes Me Dance'

The one thing I miss is what I consider the *best* song in the original play:
"The Music that Makes Me Dance" was left out.

That is a terrific song! Streisand's version from the play is amazing. Diahann Carroll does a great job of it in a Sinatra special from the 60's.

OMG... I loved that song -- and wore out the album playing it a thousand times.
Here it is....

It was reported that Jule Styne and Bob Merrill were very upset when they didn't include the song in the movie.

Streisand does a nice recording of this on her 1999 album "A Love Like Ours".

I prefer fantasy over reality TV - like Fox News. - B.Streisand

Another song that is cut from the stage Version that I love is "who are you now"
