Incorrect 'Goof'

I don't know how to change/update "Goofs", but the very first one on this site is WRONG!

INCORRECT GOOF
"At the end, when Coogan and Ringerman are on the helicopter, the windows clearly show the helicopter is in flight from the movement of the ground. Yet the last shot of the film is of the helicopter taking off."

CORRECTION
The helicopter is very clearly NOT in flight yet when the interior scene of Coogan and Ringerman is shown. The "movement of the ground" is simply the the concrete surface of the PanAm building helipad moving by as the helicopter taxies slightly on its takeoff run. At the appropriate time, the helicopter rises into the air, and they are off.

1. The surface of the helipad has various square areas of varying size and color, as any aged concrete surface does. The original poster may have confused these textures with patches of earth as seen from higher altitudes.
2. Helicopters do not take off in a perfectly vertical climb, they use a slight bit of forward motion as well, to build up airspeed and facilitate a safe climb. This motion may have confused the original Goof poster as well.

Anyway, upon any simple examination of the sequence, the original "Goof Report" is obviously absolutely incorrect.

The other "goof" about continuity in the scene where Coogan's hat comes off all of a sudden when Susan Clark's character is talking about the cloister doesn't belong either. This is actually a clumsy edit on the DVD removing dialogue where she talks about the actual Coogan's Bluff landmark in NY. This removes any explaination of the title of the movie. There are other scenes missing from the DVD apparently, including when Coogan is given his assignment in the Sheriff's office back in Arizona, and some dialogue with Coogan and the doctor in the hospital. It's too bad Universal can't market this movie in the complete state as it was presented in theatres.
