name of the girl at hospital

Does anyone know the name of the actress who was in the prisoners room at the hospital? the one with the green worm in her head.

That's easy, dude ... it was Tisha Sterling. She plays "Linny Raven," Ringerman's girlfriend. "A certified ding-dong," as Ringerman's hosebag mom points out.

Tisha's a real bit of candy with that smile.

Here's a historical note about Coogan's Bluff's pre-production. Eastwood, director Don Siegel, and screenwriter Dean Riesner were working on the script one day in 1967, and Eastwood and Riesner became involved in a heated dispute over the scene where Coogan sleeps with Linny Raven. Riesner thought that it was stupid (and perhaps immoral) for Coogan to be sleeping around with a young chick like that (after all, she is the girlfriend of the villain that he's pursuing). Eastwood, conversely, didn't care and demanded that the scene remain in the script. Eventually, Siegel cooled everyone out and no further hitches emerged. Riesner would proceed to co-write the Eastwood movies Play Misty for Me (Eastwood, 1971), Dirty Harry (Siegel, 1971), High Plains Drifter (Eastwood, 1973) [although Riesner didn't receive credit due to a Writer's Guild arbitration, much to Eastwood's chagrin], and The Enforcer (James Fargo, 1976), while also doing a little uncredited work on The Outlaw Josey Wales (Eastwood, 1976).

Tisha Sterling is Ann Southern's daughter. Ann was the star of films in the '40s & '50s.

Just saw her in a couple of episodes of the old Batman series, playing a character called Legs, the daughter of Ma Parker, played by Shelley Winters.

I saw these Batman episodes, made a note of her name and just looked it up on the IMDB. Totally blown away to find out she was also Linney Raven, since this is one of my all-time favourite films, yet oddly I'd never payed any attention to who played her before. Cool bit of trivia I'll remember now, though.

She was an excellent actress who I think was hampered by her beauty. She was gorgeous eye candy in Villiage of the Giants but later really became a superb actress. Why she didn't become a major star is beyond me. Her role in Coogan was perfect, she played a looney hippie to a tee. She was also really good in a TV Movie called Betrayal, with Amanda Blake from Gunsmoke.

She sure is. Every time I see this movie, my mouth waters when she's on camera. Incredibly sexy mouth. Great teeth!

That was the very beautiful and talented Tisha Sterling, who played Ringerman's girlfriend Linny Raven. Her comment about having a green worm inside her head that glows in the dark was most likely the result of an acid trip, since that's what her boyfriend was coming down from at the Bellevue Prison Ward. They probably tripped together, LSD being popular among the counterculture crowd in the late 60s. Tisha Sterling was one of the most incredibly beautiful actresses to ever appear in film. I've fantasized about her for decades. What a gorgeous woman!

When her mother Ann Southern was young they looked ALOT alike.

In the mid-seventies I briefly dated a young lady who was a dead ringer for Linny Raven (plus about 15 pounds). Her smile and voice were exactly the same. I wish I knew what happened to that girl- she disappeared without any explanation or goodbyes.

No "u" in Ann Sothern's name BTW.

I google imaged her (Ann Sothern) and she doesn't do much for me, even though as I've gotten older I've come to appreciate the beauty of some of the actresses born long before I was. When I was a kid I couldn't for the life of me see ANY attraction in women in movies or TV made before the 70's. But unlike the case of Sally Field and her mother Margaret Field, (check her out on an old Perry Mason) Tisha Sterling was WAY hotter than her mom. I came to "Coogan's Bluff" after seeing her in a "Columbo" and a "Night Gallery" (The Return of the Sorcerer - gorgeous). I do have a weakness for short, straight hair on a woman. (Such a shame about the politics of Shirley Maclaine and Demi Moore....)

Anyway, more attractive every time I watch. Her voice is mega sexy too. If she had a British accent it would probably kill me.

Hey and what's up with that pink fishnet dress she wore in the movie? I'm suspecting circles of flesh colored tape was all there was to her upper undergarment. I kept saying "Is she? or isn't she?"
