Hill hopping scene repeated

The cars jumping the hills is repeated four times, meaning it's the same stunt shown from different angles. First, through the windshield of the hitmen's Dodge Charger; then interior of the Mustang over the shoulder of Bullitt; followed by a close exterior stationary shot of the cars making one dramatic leap; finally from the bottom of the hill showing both cars jumping all the hills coming towards the camera and making the left turn at the bottom.

Note that the ubiquitous VW is passed by the Charger in the same place in every one of the shots: just cresting the lowest hill, and just as the chase cars turn left, the blue Caddy that stops short in the intersection can be seen in two different angles.

Well, Farley, action like that, you gotta get some mileage out of it!

I was in a movie Peter Yates directed, I'm telling you, this man Yates, he's okay.

jackboot, you little actor, you. I hope the casting couch has been good to you. Which Yates film are we talking about? I've only seen BULLITT and THE FRIENDS OF EDDIE COYLE, so there's still a world of Yates yet to explore.

"Robbery" is worth catching. Based on the "Great Train Robbery" in 1963.

No. The hills just look the same. And those are different green Volkswagens and blue Caddys. You think in the entire city of SF, there is just 1 green Volkswagen and 1 blue Caddy?

VW Beetles and busses were all over the place in the late '60s, and having lived in San Francisco, I can attest to the fact that the streets go over the summits of many very steep hills.
