calm down there buddy lol

Why do people fall head over heels for Fincher? He's just a music video director, with some nice visuals, and that's about it.

Limit of the Willing Suspension of Disbelief: directly proportional to its awesomeness.

If Hollywood is thinking about remaking Bullit, they could make a similar movie and say Bullit inspired it.

reply

It's the best way to go really. "If" they go ahaed and do it.

Daniel Craig seems perfect to play that character in a remake/reboot, but I think Hollywood may want to promote younger actors and choose someone else a little McQueen-esqe such as Ryan Gosling.
David Fincher has worked with Craig before with "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" and made the film Zodiac, which had the character of Dave Toschi in it, who was the real-life insiration behind Bullitt and Dirty Harry.

Faaak no. Fincher has the chops to do a remake but Daniel Craig - no freaking way. McQueen was born cool, Craig works at it. Mentioning him and McQueen in the same breath is sacrilege.

No need for a remake.

No, there’s not, and there’s something that those dumb enough to want a remake overlook: Steve McQueen was a legit racing driver, like Paul Newman was. He did his own driving in Bullitt. To me, that makes the experience much more exciting, like Jackie Chan doing his own stunts. We know it’s not Jason Statham driving the black Audi. I don’t know of a real racing driver In Hollywood these days.

Hell no! Remakes suck!!!
