What is wrong with Moviechat?

This movie was released in 1968, not 1970. This is getting ridiculous

reply

It had a convoluted release in the US: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2001:_A_Space_Odyssey_(film)#Release
The Imdb release page doesn't follow that but adds USA 1970 for some reason.

This is an awful site. I miss IMDB.

Be happy that there was a place that archived all the old posts and discussions for all of us to enjoy. IMDB just deleted everything.

I think all of us were pleased the old posts got retained for the most part. What I miss are the numbers----how you could write a question on an obscure movie and the next morning have responses from people all over the world. On Moviechat, if I write on an obscure movie, I might get a response two or three months later, or sometimes not at all. You really feel how small this community is by comparison. Fuck Jeff Bezos for getting rid of the message boards. WE WILL NEVER FORGET.

If I could upvote your post, I'd do it countless times!

Thanks Owlwise!

Nobody is denying that it's a substantially smaller community here compared to the old IMDB-boards. Perhaps 1% of the people who used to post there migrated here?

Point is, it keeps a good thing going and it's all we've got.

Remember imdb2? Now that was a horror-show. This place actually has the old posts (along with filmboards.com).
