Death of a goldfish part I and part II

Yesterday, I find a very rare episode of this TV show up on You Tube, and they had it in 2 parts, it is called Death of a Goldfish, and if you read the summary on the side of the video, you will read that the last time it was shown on TV in August of 1989. Part I can be viewed at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7875kl0lSYg , and you can view part II at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RewqOlIljhI . The first when is 9 minutes long, and the 2nds one is 7 minutes long. but if you want the total time, part I is 9 minutes and 22 seconds long, and part II is 7 minutes and 23 seconds long.

My local library has the "Death Of A Goldfish" video available to check out. I took it out for my daughter last week, after finding a dead bird in our yard. What a sweet, sensitive way to deal with death. I miss Mr. Rogers.

That pretty cool, I know that some of some of the weeks show are being seen on dvd, and other then the part I and II that I saw up on You Tube and posted here, I haven't really seen the rest of that epsiode. And I don't know your town that libray does mange to have a video of it, and I know that this is a very rarely seen epsidoe, and IO don't know if I will ever get to see the full show, and well you checking it out, and sending it to me isn't a really good option, because they want it back within a cetrain amount of time, and plus i don't know where you live, my local library you can check out movies on video and dvd for a week, and they are a dollar to check out, and here is where it gets pretty silly, if you get them back late, then the fine is $2.00, how about your libary?

I live in Kansas City, MO, and I took the tape out of Mid Continent Public Library. They actually have quite a few old Mr. Rogers video tapes. I have a bunch out right now. The "Death Of A Goldfish" tape, I think, wasn't commercially released, but was put out by PBS for educational purposes. The cover was very plain, and it was in an old plastic "clamshell" case.

Mid Continent actually lets you take out videos for free, and you can keep them for 3 whole weeks!!! It's awesome. I'm not sure what the fine for late videos is, though.

The episode itself is pretty cool. Apart from the "part I & II" that are on YouTube, there is a make-believe segment where the trolley jumps it's track and stops moving, leading Lady Aberlin and Bob Dog to wonder if it is dead. Mr. McFeely (I think... it might have been Handyman Negri) puts it back on the track and it's fine.

Also, at the end of the show (and this was a real treat for me, because I was born in 1983 and barely remember the "old" episodes), he doesn't sing "Good Feeling"- he sings "Tomorrow"- which is a snappy little tune.

Send me an e-mail: [email protected] and we can talk about how to get you that episode!

I don't think I will be going to your library anytime soon, I live in Palos Park, Illinois, 3 whjole weks you can keep it for, how long can you have a book checked out for? Come on, it can't be shorter then a video, normmaly libraries let you check them out for 2 weeks, but with a vidoe from your library, you don't have to hurry to get them back. I was aslo born in 1983, so ofcourse I won't remember when it last aired in August of 1988. And I would think that during it, they would go to the neigborhood of make believe.

I'm watching it now... it's actually Dr. Platapus who puts the trolley back on the track (I'm not sure why I thought it was a man LOL!!!!).

Books here can be checked out for 3 weeks, too. It's the same for books & tapes, which is nice when you check out both so you can remember to bring them all back at once.

That good, you can get them back all in one trip, not like let' say if they gave you a week for a movie on vhs and dvd, and 2 weeks for books, and you don't go back and get another one on video or dvd, and that you have to keep making trips, now if you do finish a book and a movie at the same time, you can also return it at the same time. Thanks for the correction.

Sorry to burst your bubble, old pal, but those two videos have been removed at the request of Family Communications, Inc. because their content was used without permission.

I am sad to hear that, I am aware that You Tube wnats videos that aren't yours, to be added on to thier site, with the permission of the owner of that video. I am not sure how this really gets done, I have never added a video of my own, or gone ot the process of getting premission to do so. But I would also think, that if it is thier video, and they want it on there, they can do it themself.
