complete season sets? or, complete series?

anyone know if they will ever release this series in season sets?

thankfully, theres some dvds out, but there mostly themed sets. and there also seems to be a dvd out focusing on Rogers himself.

but, can't find complete season sets.

would love that. extra features would be much appreciated as well. maybe commentaries, in depth looks at the process behind the show. interviews. deleted scenes. bloopers.

and maybe it could come out in blu-ray!

i would love to see my neighbor in beautiful high-def. and with 3D tv coming out...

what would be really nifty, is if they released this series as a complete series!

all 31 seasons!

I would honestly watch every single episode back-to-back. save up money, quit my job, and just watch every single episode of mr. rogers from beginning to end.

maybe they could package a colored sweater in the complete series set.

up to 5 different sweaters, each a different color. so when you purchase the set, it will be as much a surprise as watching mr. rogers pick out a sweater from his closet.

and a life-size poster of Mr. Rogers could come packed in, with the trolley.

and a digital copy for each season.

who else is with me on this?

My husband and I both hope that they'll someday release all of the seasons on DVD and Blu-ray. We both grew up on Mister Rogers and were greatly affected by him... for me he was like the grandpa I never had.... I'd definitely buy up each season as it came out - I wouldn't care what they cost, they're priceless! We want to have them ready for when we have our kids.... so they can experience Mister Rogers too...

Hopefully soon.... Until then, there's 26 episodes online on PBS' website: http://pbskids.org/rogers/vote/ and of course I can DVR the one episode we get a week with my PBS affiliate...

It would be great if they could release a complete series. The 1 or 2 episode DVDs remind of how they pimp out of Dr. Seuss material. They know that as long as people keep buying up individual stories they have a continuous stream on income.

I would like to see Mister Rogers on Netflix On Demand but only if they show each and every episode, inculding "fish death episode" and the episodes on conflict.

Don't count on it. Any TV Show that lasts years and years is highly unlikely to be released on DVD in its entirety. Soaps being one example. It would be costly for hundreds and hundreds of episodes to be put on DVD, not to mention duplicating all those discs. The only way you'd likely get a complete series is to order a fan-made collection, that is if such a thing exists.

The Simpsons are being released in full, this should too. Not crap like the reality shows. Mister Rogers is quality TV and deserves a full DVD release.
