Season 10 ep14-A short walk on the Long shore;a very strange ending! The bad guys were never arrested and no "book 'em Danno".WHY??

I'm sorry, I can't help you with this one. I stopped buying the DVDs with Season 9.

I just finished season 8 last night.

I wont be up to that season for awhile.

Did you see this on TV or on Netflix?

It does seem rather abrupt - almost as if they ran out of time. I seem to recall that on TV it seemed even more abrupt than on Netflix - almost as if they cut in mid-scene. I never understood what happened to Michael Conrad's character. Was he still the bad guy? Did he turn good at the last second? Would he get arrested?

Connery, Moore, and Brosnan! Accept NO substitutes!

Well ,I've 'breezed' throgh season 9 and am on Season 10.

Still not up to that show but will comment once I'm there.

In relation to 'abrupt endings' ,what about "The Descent of the Torches"?

We seem to have a few suspects who may have murdered a British researcher but no arrest is made at the end of the show. We don't know who did it but one of the male suspects passes on in the night and has a traditinal Hawaiian wake.

Another male is the one who performs the ceremony and sails off down a stram withthe body of the first male. The young man who loses a friend could also have been a suspect but it doesn't see so that it was he.

My only guess is ,the man who passed on 'was' the guilty
party and since he's now gone ,he may have comitted the murder?

Okay finally about the Long Shore ending.

Simply put we know who is guilty & McGarret & co. know who is guilty and they wil be taken in. ..but more importantly ,a lady who could have escaped the kind of life she was in has been killed.

YEs ,many people die or get killed in this show but the point of her loss is that her life was an overall waste ,in how she lived & leading up to her demise.

He was a bad guy, but there was another bad guy worse than him and supposedly they were either knocked out or killed too. His character will testify and may get probation possibly.

Same thing happened in an episode when the bad guys plane gets surrounded by the HPD and then that's it it ends there.
