Milner and McCord on 'Diagnosis Murder'

I just watched the "Diagnosis Murder" episode entitled "Murder Blues" which featured number of old TV cops. Martin Milner and Kent McCord of "Adam-12" fame played Detective Halloran and Detective Stang respectively. Angie Dickinson of "Police Woman" fame played Capt. Cynthia Pike, James Darren of "T.J. Hooker" was Councilman Watson, and Fred Dryer of TV's "Hunter" was Police Chief Masters.

The first time we see Halloran (Milner) and Stang (McCord) they're in the front seat of an unmarked car in their familiar positions, Milner behind the wheel and McCord riding shotgun.

BTW: I must say that McCord, despite being white-headed, looked quite good. Very fit and trim.

How did you watch it, on dvd? I haven't been able to find the episode anywhere online.

McCord also did a few episodes of JAG around the same time frame as Diagnosis Murder (late '90s) and he did look quite fit. Good genes, I guess, or even a point of pride.

We have "Diagnosis Murder" set to record on our DVR. There are several episodes each day on the Hallmark Movie Channel (soon to be renamed "Hallmark Movies & Mysteries").

Sounds like a good episode, have to catch it and nice homage to Adam 12 by introducing Millner and McCord in their old positions in the car.

ON the instagram the other day, someone posted a pic they took with Kent McCord at an autograph show. Still a handsome man--good genes, especially keeping most of his hair, and no doubt he's lived a healthy lifestyle.

Sounds like a good episode

Yeah. "Diagnosis Murder" did a number of episodes with stunt casting involved. For instance, there was an episode entitled "Physician, Murder Thyself" which featured a bunch of guest stars who were ALL former television doctors:

Jack Klugman (Dr. Quincy, ME from "Quincy")
Chad Everett (Dr. Gannon of "Medical Center")
Wayne Rogers (Dr. Trapper John from "M*A*S*H")
Bernie Kopell (Dr. Bricker from "The Love Boat")
Hunter Tylo (Dr. Taylor Hayes from "The Bold and the Beautiful")
Michele Lamar Richards (Dr. Lois Allen from "Alien Nation")
Leslie Charleson (Dr. Monica Quartermaine from "General Hospital")
Stuart Damon (Dr. Alan Quartermaine from "General Hospital")

And they did some other crossover stuff, too... for instance, there was an episode that featured the character of private detective Joe Mannix (Mike Connors) in which Dr. Sloan helped Mannix solve an old case that featured footage from the original "Mannix" TV episode along with current footage, and they even brought back all the same actors from the original "Mannix" to play the same characters.

In another episode, TV attorney "Matlock" (Andy Griffith) was in a two-part episode of "Diagnosis Murder".
