Log 43: Hostage
I watched this this evening and it's become one of my favorite episodes of the series. In many ways the story represents a breakthrough for Officer Reed as I think this is the first time he has to handle a tough situation on his own as Malloy has been shot and is trapped inside Duke's where a holdup is taking place. He's no longer such a green rookie and shows he can handle the situation in his role as patrol officer until back up and superior officers arrive on the scene to take over. One of the rewards of watching Adam 12 in order, and multiple times, is realizing how the characters slowly evolve over time.
