You don't mean Ellen O'Mara (1949-2004) who played Alice, the one who attempted suicide. I think it's Linda Gillen (1949-?).

Not sure. Anyway it's a great film, especially Sandy Dennis...so '60s! I'm reading the book. Did you notice it's in Room 322? Obviously inspiration for Room 222.
