It just came on here, and I was thinking the same thing after they started the first flashback. It's getting more and more obvious as the show goes on. It's a great movie! Although, I think they should have styled Marge up a little to match Audrey's glamorous wardrobe.

I know! I was like WHA? they are recreating my fave romantic movie? they even named the little girl that couple had "ruthie" like in the movie! and they tried to make marge's hair like Audrey's. It was weird for me for them to parody it, I thought it was a cult film.

reply

Lol, you're right! And yes, it was kind of weird...did they give any credits to the movie??

The Bride: Where's Bill?

Juno MacGuff: I'm pregnant

James L Brooks has stated that Two For the Road is one of the finest written movies ever. He listed it as a film he never gets tired of. Also he claimed that Carnal Knowledge was in the same category and he reads that script once a year.

Anyone know the name of the episode?

I can't believe they even mimicked the scene at the end with all 3 cars driving the same roundabout, with the last car splitting in two and taking both forks.

Superlative!
