Strange
Despite being widely considered a classic romantic-comedy, why isn't this on DVD? As of today, less than a thousand people have voted for this movie. This movie ought to be viewed by more people.

shareWhat a great great movie...needs to be on DVD! I'm only 17 but I don't know, for whatever reason I can connect with the movie....o_O. I want this in widescreen and high quality..now! Maybe even a chronological-order mode, a la Memento LE...ah, I'm just dreaming on, like Aerosmith.

It's hard for me to believe that only around 800 people have rated this movie, which is an absolute classic and a very good example of how to handle cinematic narrative. Nobody even cares anymore... We seriously need to recover the classics. Especially now, with the crazy amount of crappy movies that are being made for cash only.
Seeing injustice like this makes me sad. And I'm only 26.
I agree heartily. In the meantime, I'm very happy to have my laserdisc with the Stanley Donen commentary to hold me over.
shareThe movie is wonderful. I hope this gets a DVD release and soon. I am no Hepburn fan, but I do LOVE her pairing with Finney in this film!
shareAudrey Hepburn and Albert Finney had wonderful chemistry together in this movie. They were dating in real life during the filming of the movie, so it made it more believable.
I'm surprised this movie is not available on DVD. The DVD listing has been shown on Amazon.com's website for over a year, but nothing yet.
this is a wonderful film, even though i've never been married (only 18) i would love to have this in dvd. i also love the paco rabanne and mary quant outfits she wears they are gorgeous.
shareI'm not married either, only 21, but Hepburn and Finney's characters seemed so easy to relate to. This is a terrific film and easily one of Audrey's finest performances. Great ending as well. Two For the Road definitely needs to be on DVD!
"Dry your eyes baby, it's out of character."
Yes it is considered to be one of Audrey's best performances. 1967 was a good year for Audrey. She also appeared in WAIT UNTIL DARK, for which she was Oscar nominated.
one of Audrey's best performances.
Limited distribution? I always thought it was a box office hit.
shareIf I remember right, Two For the Road only earned back about 70% of its negative cost. Despite its excellence, it was only able to earn $7,200,000 in worldwide rentals. In comparison to another 1967 release, The Graduate earned over $50,000,000 in rentals despite being not nearly as good as 2FTR.
sharei also forgot to say.............Lots of films usually have the story of beginning love in the most unlikely places and situations and ends as they get married. LIFE goes on and this is the best film that portrays marriage the good parts, the bad parts, the real bad parts that some marriages have, it shows how it is. and it's beautiful. and that in the end you just move on and say some part of affection to each other in the film its "bitch, bastard".
shareIt has been out on dvd (I'm not sure if it still is) I bought it on Ebay in 2005.
