Just saw this on Svengoolie's show, I liked it.

Why would someone say this is a bad horror movie? Very interesting film. The Poe segment and the one about the actor were excellent. Cushing, Palance, Burgess meredith, great look to the film. Good stuff.

I watched it on Sven, too. Not as well remembered as some of the other Amicus anthologies, but still good.

I saw it on Sky (Horror Channel). Didn't really like it. For a 12 certificate I thought it was very dark and morbid.

"Hey! Ladies! That was fun!"

I'm surprised to see the rather negative reaction to this film as well. I think it's quite good. I haven't seen an Amicus anthology film I didn't like. Monster Club was the one I liked the least, but even it had it's share of enjoyable moments.
