Judy Geeson

Just had to mention how much I enjoyed Judy Geeson's work in this film as Pamela Dare. As much as I was intrigued by her being attracted to Thackeray, I'm glad Thackeray had the good taste and intelligence to keep those student/teacher lines drawn and clear. Geeson definitely made Pamela the most interesting of the kids and I found her work in this film memorable, with honorable mention to Lulu's Barbara Peg.

I think Poitier's dance with her at the end was some of the finest acting in his career; also think the way he looked at her was amazing - was it love? pride? admiration? all these, sure, but in what sense and to what extent?

"The whole world is waiting for you, you're a smasher!"

great line.

I never felt Thackery looked at Pam in an inappropriate way. He was her teacher and she was his student and he never forgot that.

exactly. he could express pride and other emotions in her without being considered pervy

If you saw the follow-up made-for-television film "To Sir With Love 2" (1996)
Judy Geeson and Lulu appeared briefly at the beginning when "Sir" (Sidney Poitier)
was leaving the East London school after 30 years to go to America. I think it
interesting that Judy and Lulu were the only two of the former "students" to come
back and wish him well. Lulu even reprised her hit song "To Sir, With Love." (I
think that was the title.) I would love to see all of the actors who played his
students in the original film (presumably they are all still living) get together for a reunion portrait.

Didn't Judy Geeson move into the NYC apartment across the hall from Paul and Jaime in *Mad About You*. She is still gorgeous!

She also made a movie with John Wayne set in London called, I believe, "Brannigan."

I'm not sure, but I wish there was a photo in her profile. Was she on Mad About You? I would like to see that if she was! Anyway, I loved her work in this film. ..............fp
