I saw the film last night, for the maybe the 5th time and only just noticed that the great stunt driver in the French connection and driver of the car chasing Steve McQueen in Bullitt was the late great Bill Hickman, who plays the one of the goons on the roof guarding Mal Reese.

I bet he also had a hand in the driving stunts such as totalling the Imperial during the car show room scene
