Does anybody know who played him? He looked sort of like Albert Popwell, the black actor who played in four of the five "Dirty Harry" movies.

shareYes, it's Stu Gardner and his Trio, he was a regular in the late 60's San Francisco music scene, he played at places like the Fillmore and Avalon Ballroom quite a bit. I can see why some find that scene annoying but I like it because it's always fun for me to see real late 60's psychedelic lightshows (and not one recreated in 1987) and the way Stu tries to get the uptight honky businessman to sing along with him.
