Trying to get a similar film made

As a long time Richard Stark fan, I have to say that John Boorman's post-modern masterpiece is the only film that really brought a level of commentary to the source material.

For a long time, i've been dreaming of doing my own version. In the process, I developed something of my own named Striker. Though the protagonist is Parker inspired, the film series (I want it to be a whole franchise, anyway) is quite different but I can't imagine a Parker fan not liking it.

I'm trying to fund a short film on Kickstarter to do bigger things with the material in the future:

Though we are at 40%, we only have 4 backers. So I'm hoping things get better.

I'm not sure that anyone could improve upon Point Blank, or come anywhere close, so it may not be a great idea to try...

I think if you read the script you'll see that it's different enough

Where is that script?

Is the project still in progress?

How is this project coming along?

Interesting concept, but personally I feel that this kind of story belongs solidly in the 1960s.
