If you have never smoked cannabis: Do it for this film.

I saw this film on a big screen in 1080p when high on marijuana.

--IT IS THE SINGLE GREATEST MOVIE EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD--

I could hardly breathe through the laughing fits. It was exhausting (in a good way). Please suspend your preconceptions and prejudices about potheads and stoner movies, and watch Play Time when stoned on a big screen, preferably 70mm in a cinema or at least 1080p on a big screen. You will not regret it.

The best films don't need drugs to enhance them. You might as well eat a load of LSD and sit giggling at the palm of your hand for eight hours.

the best meals don't need dessert to enhance them. therefore dessert adds no enjoyment to the mealtime experience, and should be forever skipped

A lot of uptight squares here. Drugs bring another level to the film, and help understand new meanings, I've only ever done pot, so I can't comment on people who've watched 2001 on acid or DMT, but it definitely adds to it.

You are correct that great films don't NEED drugs to be enhanced.
But that doesn't mean that a great film can't be enhanced by drugs.
I never watch a film for the first time while drunk or high, simply because I think it's an unfair way to judge a first viewing.
But any film that strikes me as truly great I will definitely rewatch after smoking. It can be a fantastical experience.

Absolutely, I can vouch for that, especially cannabis, since it enhances aural and visual perception

Also, I love how the op said "Please suspend your preconceptions and prejudices" and then about 10 posters did exactly the opposite

Says the naive young doper who still thinks that drugs improve peoples' lives.

Should you be ready to reply about preconceptions and prejudices, I've been there, done that, gave it up as a waste of life, and seen those who didn't give it up and are still in the same place trying to find what was there all the time if they'd skipped the drugs and put in a little effort to genuinely experience life.

I suppose if you have to be loaded to enjoy something, better to smoke than to go drunk, but whether you realize it or not, drugs don't improve anything, they just dumb you down so things look better from down there.

If you enjoy alcohol and films together, well don't get judgmental on people that use cannabis to relax and enjoy films. Jeeeeez... talking about growing up... Living in glass houses throwing stones .

oh and i for one look foreword to watching this film, and I'll do it naked, hanging upside down, with a big bowl full of popcorn just with in my mouths reach cause that's how i like to watch films..oh and I'll be stoned

Ha ha ha! You don't need to do all that to watch this film (or get stoned,for that matter) but hanging upside down naked sounds like fun just by itself,lol! And it's funny because this is even what you would call a stoner film, but,hey different strokes for different folks, I say!
