Why didn't Bagheera help Baloo and Mowgli fight against Shere Khan?

As cool as the climax was, this was something that I found a little confusing, especially since Bagheera had such a vested interest in trying to keep Mowgli out of harm's way.

Because Bagheera's a coward! No, seriously I think it was because he got seperated from Baloo when searching for Mowgli. He only found Mowgli near the end of the fight because of coincidence. In the orginal story by Rudyard Kipling, it was said his ferocity and cunning win him respect of all the jungle inhabitants, except Shere Khan of course. However, I doubt that's why he wasn't included in the climax becuase the 2 stories are very different from one another. Maybe they just didn't know how to include him into the fight.

He wasn't there during the fight. Baloo and Bagheera separated, remember?

Straightedge means I'm better than you.

reply

Don't worry you'll see him and khan fight in the live action one.

reply

Bagheera was secretly cheering for Kahn because Mowgli was such an obnoxious prick.

Then when Mowgli scared Kahn away, he just sighed and said, "Well, at least we can still dump the little idiot in the man-village."

;D
