Great movie

It's so hard to believe that no one helped Beau Bridges (who was very cute in '67 :) character at the end. It would be hard to stand up to those jerks as one person, but if someone else is doing it, why wouldn't you help them?

Donna Mills boyfriend was a serious wuss. I would dump his A** as soon as I got off that train.

thats the point! people faced with a condition of fear thay stand and do nothing.

I don't think that is as true as it used to be, especially after 9/11.

This reminds me what people's mindsets must have been like during the Holocaust. I always wondered why people didn't stand up to those stupid Nazis. I guess it's hard to do that with a gun in your face.
But, this was only two itty bitty men. There were enough strong men on that train to overtake them.

I suppose the incentive not to question authority was that if you stood up to Nazis you would end up in prison or dead.

I know it's the point of the movie, but it's hard to believe that could actually happen...even in 1967.

If you watch how the lead punk goes about doing it. its pretty unusual. he seems to set the stage with the first man he sits next to.He dosent start yelling like a mainiac but He verbally Rips him apart!with humiliating hummer and quick comebacks untill the man cant think of anything els to say. the others see this! and and figure its better to sit quietly than try to reason with the hoodlum. also the punk did have a crazy creepy look about him.
