is this how they met?
is this how Roman met Sharon Tate?
shareYes it is. he originally didn't want her in the film, he wanted someone more well known but Sharon was on contract with the studio so they kept pushing for her to be in it as it would be cheaper for them. Obviously the studio got there way and I must say I am glad they did

Why would you be glad? If the studio hadn't pushed Sharon Tate into the film she never would have met Roman Polanski, which was the beginning of a series of events ending in her murder.
shareit's unfortunate that because sharon tate was pushed into this film, she met roman polanski, and ultimately died because of it. still, by all accounts, there's was a beautiful relationship while it lasted (and who knows in what mysterious ways polanski's later creative efforts were inspired by his having known her). and we got this stunning creature (with the girl-next-door qualities) forever on film - in maybe my favourite vampire film of all.

I'm glad because it is one more movie that she can be seen in and I like this movie.
I dont think it is fair to say that Sharon meeting Roman Polanski and falling in love with him is the thing that set her on the path that lead to her death. You don't know what would have happened if she hadn't met him, she may have ended up in the Cielo house anyway but at least, going on what people who knew them have said, Roman made her happy most of the time, he had his faults and he didn't always treat her the way she deserved but they loved each other.

Are you suggesting that if she did not meet Roman during this film she would not have been murdered?Roman was devastated when she was killed. Many have said he never was the same again.

Roman initially wanted Jill St. John, whom he was dating at the time, for Sarah. It was Martin Ransohoff who pushed Sharon and Roman did not want her.

Sharon and Roman had met briefly in London in 1965 through work but it was the casting of the Fearless Vampires Killers when they 'got together' and initially they never got on with each other - she found him arrogant. As mentioned the marriage was based on the terms of as Sharon quoted: "He tells me lies, and I pretend to believe him". Roman was the one who admitted to affairs before and during their marriage, but he totally adored her - shame she came to such a tragic end in August 69.
shareWhere did this come from they met in 1965? Everything I've ever heard was they met through Ransohoff at the time of the casting of FVK. As for the 'terms' of the marriage, he told her at the outset that he couldn't be monogamous and she accepted it. She married him knowing it. Now I believe he might of changed after teh birth of the baby. He did when he married Emmanuelle Seigner.

Ransohoff introduced them at a cocktail party at The Dorchester hotel (London) - she was here promoting 'All Eyes on Sharon Tate' in September of 65.
