I kid you not-- I was JUST looking up some Dance of the Vampires fan art and I heared just now on the news that they got Roman....That was a crazy few seconds!

Thanks for putting together a petition!

Polanski has got to do more than direct movies to get to be above the law. But since he is too stupid/arrogant to stay in France I don't see this happening.

reply

I see no problem with him facing trial. You certainly have not well expressed any problem in your petition. Why would the trial be unfair?

reply

if the petition is to put this pedophile in a small jail cell with a big guy named bubba and throw away the key, just tell me where to sign.

he is a PEDOPHILE!!!! he plead gulity!!!! then he ran away!!!!

your petition is twisted and sick.

No, actually your revenge-driven post IS twisted and sick!

funny how many trolls come out from under the bridge to defend a guy who ADMITTED to statutory rape of a 13 year old girl, then fled the country to avoid prosecution...

reply

Most sane people would defend him this time because it's morally right to do so. 30 years ago not.

reply

please do explain how its morally right. i'm dying to hear this.

Your anger is clouding your judgment on the whole troll matter. It is YOUR KIND that is the troll. Not anyone else. Just those who seem to be on a crusade against Polanski.

I know he did wrong in the past. It's obvious he did wrong. But your kind sicken me more than anything. Your kind lands in threads like this one and other threads in other boards relating to the same topic. You crawl in there and stand on your soap box and preach your moral ramblings to everyone around you. You think if you shout loud enough everyone will hear you and listen.

Your kind try and play upon the act committed in the past as if you think your right because you have some sort of moral righteousness on your side. And you think that if anyone disagrees with you for shouting as loud from atop of your soap box then they are wrong.

Your kind are in no position to tell anyone they are wrong. So go back under your bridge. You trolls just play the same crusade tune all the time. It never changes, only the names do.

Yes I would feel the same way, and most people should too, even if the victim was my own daughter i wouldn't want Polanski in jail. This case is a lot more complicated than some think. Most read Geimer's testimony but how many of them know that most of it was a lie, based on what she was told by the judge. If she was a classic victim of rape, i would feel differently of course. This is not the case, that's why.

reply

Polanski is in trouble now, not because of what he did with the girl -- that's all resolved long ago -- but because he fled the country. He's not going to be brought back here and retried for rape, but face the punishment for being a fugitive. If I were a judge in the case, I'd give him a stiff fine and kick him back out of the country. Polanski has paid plenty for what he did, and he'll pay even more, but at his age now, putting him in jail for years makes no sense and all those out for his blood are just vampires!

reply

you apologists just make stuff up.

it was never resolved because he fled the country. after serving a month and a half, he had a probation hearing where it was implied that he would have to do more jail time so he ran. because he fled, all charges against him are still pending.

those charges are: rape by use of drugs, perversion, sodomy, lewd and lascivious act upon a child under fourteen, and furnishing a controlled substance to a minor.

not to mention the statutory rape charge he pled guilty to..

I watched FVK last Friday the 13th (the anniversary of the film's opening in the US in 1967, and I couldn't help wondering how Polanski was doing at that very moment. I hope he gets out soon. I wish him well.

You could say that his fans are The Fearless Vampire Killers if that's the case.
