The great picture in the background of the hall


Hello everybody!

Did anybody notice the painting in the background of the hall with the long table?
I think it's a large re-print of "The Triumph of Death", made by Pieter Breughel the elder.

Has anybody more information about this set?

OK, I just checked it out on DVD and, yes, the walls of the great hall set do include blowup details of "The Triumph of Death" by Pieter Breughel the elder. The art direction of this movie is really something. It's a movie I seem to never tire of watching.

That was a fantastic catch!

I was struck by that painting in the count's hall, and thought that it had been created just for the film. Thanks for the info.
