Ok, so we all know that Clint Walker is a large man. Did you ever listen to the sound made when Lee Marvin slaps Posey on the ribcage after he demonstrates hand to hand in the yard? If you do so, you'd just about have to admit that it sounds just like when you hit a horse.

Unbelievably large man.

Do you hit horses often? Seems like something few people would ever experience.

Since they dub sound for most hitting sounds, I would guess maybe they dubbed that one, too. So maybe they slapped a horse :-)
