I heard that out of all the episodes of Ironside ever produced,there was one episode in particular that featured the legendary Motown great Marvin Gaye in an 1971 episode where he played a preacher,which he was a special guest star and this episode was directed by Ivan Dixon. I cannot recall the title of the episode since it was shown only once years ago......
shareThere's nothing listed under the IMDB for "Ironside" regarding Marvin Gaye. I did a search under Ivan Dixon as director, and there's nothing there regarding Marvin Gaye. Ivan Dixon did, however, act in one "Ironside" episode titled "Let My Brother Go", where his character was Charles 'Bat' Masterson. It aired 2 November 1967 and was in Season 1, Episode 8.

I've heard something similar, but can't remember where I read it. I saw all the 1971 episodes in syndication but this was in the 80s and I honestly can't remember seeing Marvin Gaye in this (or any acting) role.
