I always thought that was why he was called Ironside (,'-p)

For who would bear the whips and scorns of Hollywood... (;-p)

Ironside's catchy but not technically accurate. It's a gold titanium alloy.

I think the name Ironside denote strength. The ship U.S.S. Constitution, Old Ironsides, was nicknames that because the ship was built strong. Ironside was strong-willed and generally didn't let the wheelchair get in the way of solving crimes.
