I predict a reincarnation to this TV series. That is why it has not been shown in reruns for all these years.

I think if there is a modern day Ironside, there is an actor who would be the perfect candidate. I suggest Mitch Longley. He is a real life paraplegic who has been on different shows. He was a regular on the daytime show "Port Charles" and the prime time "Las Vegas". He also played a really neat attorney on "Judging Amy" in a recurring capacity.

You were right about a re-imagining of Ironside, but it was so far from the original, that it only last three episodes. Sometimes, you can't improve upon the original, especially when it comes to the lead character.
