End of the line today on MeTV S8 E19

I'm assuming S1 E1 tomorrow? you could find a lot of holes in the scripts in season 8 but it was still Burr and Co. and that made for good viewing entertainment.

I was wanting more episodes at the end of the run of the eight season. I read that Raymond Burr decided to end the series and have it cancelled. Apparently, he had a series of personal events, including the death of his mother and a heart attack in 1973 that took a lot of him. But for the eight seasons, he prove how good an actor he was in many of the episodes and the range that he had. I am glad that ME-TV decided to air this groundbreaking series.

There was another show he planned to do once "Ironside" finished; a drama set on Fiji starring him and Don Galloway. He owned an island there, and the series was to be filmed on it. For whatever reason that never happened though. Perhaps they couldn't get a TV company interested. I suppose his health issues may also have been involved.

Knowing something about Raymond Burr's drive to be busy, I wouldn't be surprised that he had a lot of plans. If you can find the TV Guide interview that was done just before his death, he had plans to write an autobiography and produce other shows etc. Unfortunately, his death ended all of those plans.
