Return of Humor to the End of the Episode

I noticed in the early episodes of Ironside that there was humor many times at the end of the episode. Then it seems to disappear until the eight season. Both Pt. 2 of "Raise the Devil" and "What New with Mark" both had humor used at the end. What do you prefer, humor or no humor?

I think it shows the relationship between the characters. And Raymond Burr was a prankster, so he had a great sense of humor.

"ACCIDENT" ALSO HAD HUMOR AT THE END.

I did watch Accident last night and there was a lot of humor. Maybe not as much in the 5th and sixth season. I actually saw a smile, not just a grin on Ironside's face. A rare sight.
