Raymond Burr's Use of Facial Expressions

Has anyone noticed Raymond Burr's very effective use of facial expressions and the use of close-ups to emphasize his emotions. I think it helped him to be a multi-dimensional character and let us peak inside the the man. His eyes conveyed many emotions from joy to thinking to sadness. I have been so impressed with his acting that I am creating a college of photos from Ironside.

I think actors that can use facial expressions to add to their acting ability are wonderful. I can say the same for Richard Basehart. In his movies and on TV, he could convey emotions so well with just a look.

No actor used facial expressions like Raymond Burr. I think the fact that he had the most beautiful, expressive blue eyes helped as he use them extremely well.
